Our Summer and Winter Markets

The Wayland Summer Farmers' Market was founded in 2005. The late Lewis Russell, owner of Russell's Garden Center in Wayland, wanted to make sure that those living nearby would continue to have a place to purchase from local farms and food producers once Lee's Farm Market closed. Our 16 week season begins the last Wednesday in June and continues into October.

In 2010 we started the indoor Wayland Winter Farmers' Market in the lush greenhouses at Russell's. What started as a small group of vendors in the first year, has now turned into a group of 140 participants over a ten week period. Through the years we added special event days including New England Cheese Day, Massachusetts Farm Wineries Day and two Farm Fiber Days, which were moved to Sundays beginning in 2019. The Winter Market begins on the second Saturday in January and runs for 10 weeks.
